Expedition West Virginia theme park was a huge project. I fully expected to get this entire theme park built, so I spent hours, days, weeks into months reading, learning and developing as much as I could. Though I didn’t get far with local contacts (and in the process started to learn how business, government and money really works), it was some of the best time I’ve ever spent.
After forming the theme park big picture, I learned to “start small” and scale back to what’s feasible. I switched planned phases and the indoor water park became the first step. It made the most sense all around. Here’s my concept from 2005 – 2006.
